October Favorites πŸŽƒπŸ‚β˜•οΈ

Okay so I’m a few days late on this post but it’s never too late to talk great makeup, am I right? Yes, yes I am. Anyway, here’s a list of all the products that would’ve made my MySpace top 8 if MySpace was still cool and if friends were makeup…. (???)
Enjoy πŸ™‚

Smashbox Contour Kit

Okay, yes. Can we talk about this contour shade for a second please???? Literally perfect and amazing and all things right with this world. I use this with a dense sephora contour brush and my face has never looked more structured… Also very travel friendly πŸ™‚

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

I finally jumped on the bandwagon and picked up this lovely little palette.. I actually got the revised version which has the names actually next to the shadows (the original just came with a stupid plastic sheet). I love the shades, they are perfect for fall!!! Shadows are blendable, pigmented, and hell yes. I still like my semi-sweet palette (all time fave) but this is also amazing. I think I got a defective palette tho because it smells like chemicals and not chocolate (???) but I still like it!

Urban Decay Glitter Liners

I actually put these all over my lid for amazing glitter and everyone has been complimenting me on my eye makeup lately! My favorites are demolition and midnight cowboy.

Nars Audacious Lipstick – Anna

This is the perfect fall lip. Wears beautifully, pigmented, and A+++ packaging. Absolutely took my breath away the packaging is so beautiful!!! Magnetic lid is super bougie too.

Soleil Tan de Chanel

Okay so this is only $48 and honestly that’s a pretty good price considering how much product you get and it will last you years!!! I love this stuff. Natural tan (I like to look sun kissed in winter) and great staying power. Definitely worth every penny. Also looks amazing just sitting on your vanity… Bougie!

That’s all for my favorites πŸ™‚ Thanks for reading and please follow me for more beauty related posts!!! Hope you all have and amazing November!!!! Comment your favorite beauty products and I’ll check out your blog πŸ™‚ I want to do a haul soon so I need things to buy!!!

Fall Mall Haul πŸ‚ – Lush, Bath&Body Works, Target

Hi guys! Welcome back to my blog! I know it’s early September but I am just so excited about fall that I could no longer contain the white girl inside of me. Yesterday I swang through the Starbucks drive-thru, ordered a pumpkin spice latte, cranked up my Taylor Swift CD and hit the mall. Here’s what I got:

Buttercream Icing Candle – um, obviously. I’ve seen this on everyone’s social media so it would be criminal to not get it.

Autumn Candle – the lady working there told me that this was one of the best sellers and I can see why! Very nostalgic and festive.

Apple Flowers Candle -okay this is sort-of fall themed but honestly this is my favorite candle I picked up. It’s also my dad’s favorite of my choices in case anyone was wondering (I’m sure you weren’t)! Next time you’re in B&BW smell this candle if you’re awesome.

Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte Lotion – why bath and body didn’t have this in candle form is a mystery to me… I love the smell and honestly a marshmallow pumpkin latte sounds bomb right now.

Nivea After-Shave Balm – so you’re probably wondering why I’m including this but I recently watched a Nikkie Tutorials video where she claims this is the best primer ever. I’ll review this later!

Clean and Clear Morning Burst Facial Scrub – this is my favorite morning skin care product ever in the entire world and whenever I pass by the travel size section at target I can’t resist picking one of these up for 97Β’! It really does wake you up and brighten your morning.

Orly Nail Polish in Pink Luxe Shimmer – this is the color on my nails currently (excuse the horrible paint job) and it’s honestly so Barbie pink and perfect that I can’t think of a color that resonates with my soul more than this one!

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in Shade 210 Dewy – this foundation is a little yellow for me so I mix in a liquid bronzer. Not sure how I feel about this yet, I would go for the Matte version if you’re oily-combo.

Secret Gel Deodorant in Ooh-La-Lavender – kind of weird that I’m including this but I sweat A LOT so I recently switched to gel and it works better for keeping me smelling good.

Lush Mask of Magnaminty – I recently became #obessed with face masks so I picked up another exfoliating mask from Lush. Haven’t used this yet but I’ll make sure to review later πŸ™‚ smells super minty and fresh!

Lush Cup O’ Coffee Mask – I’m ending this article on a mask that has literally changed my life. I use this in the morning and it not only wakes me up but it puts me in such an amazing mood. It exfoliates my skin and leaves it unbelievably soft after and smells like a coffee shop. Honestly words can’t express how amazing this mask is!!!

That’s it for my “Fall Mall Haul”! Thanks for reading and please make sure to follow my blog for more beauty related posts! πŸ‚β˜•οΈπŸŽƒ

Sephora Gratis Haul: August 2015 β™‘Β

Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog! I’ve done one of these posts before but for those of my followers who are new, gratis is basically free stuff given to Sephora employees every month that we can test out and try for ourselves at home! It’s a huge benefit of working at Sephora and it really does help me do my job better when I actually know what I’m talking about since I’ve used the product before! Anyway, here’s this months gratis — Enjoy πŸ™‚

Urban Decay Brow Beater in Medium Brown – this isn’t really my shade and it’s exactly like the Anastasia brow wiz so I’ll be passing this one along to one of my friends. Or maybe I’ll put it in a giveaway, who knows 😏.

Benefit They’re Real Mascara, Porefessional, and Gimme Brow (both shades) – very exciting since I’m a new fan of the famous mascara and also the Porefessional and I was just about to run out of both. Excited to try the light shade of Gimme Brow also, what are your thoughts on it before I try it out?? I’ll also be passing along the dark shade to a lucky person.

First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Overnight Mask – Excited to try this out since I’m quite the mask junkie. I’ll do a follow up review for this product if I like it!

Kat Von D Crushed Metal Eyeshadow and Ink! It Liner (navy blue) – These shadows are very pigmented, however, this is just not my shade so I’ll be giving this away. I might try out the liner, but again I’m not really one to go for colored liner. I do love the KVD liquid liners though πŸ™‚

Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel – Another mask I’m excited to try and will review if it turns out to be amazing.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream – A great brand for sensitive skin, especially people with eczema. Hopefully this works for me.

Philosophy Ultimate Miracle Worker – Not entirely sure what this stuff is for but I’m assuming it’s some kind of moisturizer for the face(?) Let me know if you’ve tried this!

Benefit Makeup Bag – Not my favorite makeup bag I’ve ever seen so I’ll be passing this along as well… Giveaway?!? 😎

That’s it folks! Thanks again for reading and please follow me for more beauty posts πŸ™‚ I would also like to quickly say how grateful I am for all of this free makeup and my job at Sephora πŸ™‚ Please like this post if you enjoyed and I will make sure to check out your blog!

Drugstore Dupes for Popular High-End Products β™‘

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! Although I am a Sephora employee and have access to tons of high-end products, some would be shocked to know that I actually prefer drugstore products! In my opinion (and I could never share this while clocked in at my job as a product consultant), the drugstore products that I’ve found actually perform better than a lot of high end products on the market. Over the years as a makeup-junkie I’ve found some seriously cheap (and pretty exact) alternatives to best-selling high end beauty products. Hopefully this post will save you money and maybe introduce you to some amazing drugstore products! Enjoy πŸ™‚

Stila Kitten Eyeshadow $18 vs. Lo’real Infallible Eyeshadow in Iced Latte $7.99

Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Half-Baked $19 vs. Lo’real Infallible Eyshadow in Eternal Sunshine $7.99

Benefit They’re Real Mascara $24 vs. Maybelline “The Rocket” Mascara $5.99 vs. Covergirl Full Lash Bloom $6.95

The wand on the Covergirl lash bloom is the most similar to the Benefit mascara wand and works very well but the Maybelline mascara formulation resembles the They’re Real Formulation more.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard $29 vs. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Light $5.59

The Nars concealer definitely feels creamier and creases less but the color and coverage of the Maybelline is just as good and they look virtually the same when on the skin.

MAC Pigment in Tan vs. Lo’real Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush $7.99

Nars Blush in Orgasm $30 vs. Milani Baked Blush in 01 Dolce Pink $7.79

That’s it for my high-end drugstore dupes! Please like this post if you would like to see more of my drugstore dupes and don’t forget to follow me for more beauty posts! Thanks for reading πŸ™‚ stay beautiful!!!

My Palette Collection β™‘ The Best and the Worst

Hi guys, welcome back to my blog! So I’ve decided to start a new series that features different sections of my already-way-too-huge-borderline-hoarder-status makeup collection. First up, my palettes. I will be ranking my eyeshadow palettes from best to worst and hopefully that will help you clarify which palettes you need in your life and which ones to totally skip. Enjoy πŸ™‚

The Worst

Bobbi Brown “Hot Nudes” – absolutely horrible pigmentation (harsh but true), shade range isn’t really that great, mine broke upon opening it which makes me a little biased since I paid way too much for this thing. Just awful, I never use it. Ever.

Maybelline “Blushed Nudes” and “The Nudes” – okay so the nudes palette was an extreme let down in my opinion and left me very un-excited about life. The blushed nudes however was pretty decent but still not something I tend to reach for. Not horrible by drugstore standards but not great either.

Coastal Scents Revealed 2 – clearly I have not used this palette very much since it’s barely even swatched. Somewhat powdery, just meh.

bhCosmetics 120 Eyeshadow Palette Third Edition – okay so this was very cheap so I shouldn’t expect much and there’s a ton of colors but I just don’t reach for this as much as I should. Not travel friendly (clearly) and the bright shades aren’t very… Well, bright.

Tarte (idk what this is called it came in a holiday set) palette – yeah idk where I got this but there are definitely not enough matte shades in this thing to tide me over. I’m high maintenance. Some nice shades in here but can’t be used alone in my opinion.

The Best

Naked Basics 1 and 2 – okay so I really love the pigmentation on these and they blend out beautifully. I use the first one more than the second (I actually never use the second) so I would really only recommend the first. I will say though that the first is really good. Great for travel.

Too Faced “Natural Eyes” – I used to use this palette back in my beginner days and I really loved it. I love the shade range, pigmentation, blendability. I’ve since found other loves, but this is a great one for beginners and traveling.

Lo’real La Palette 1 – okay so at first I hated this palette. Maybe I was just a high end palette snob and thought I was too cool for drugstore. Since I have found that this palette is the bomb. You get a lot for your money, the shadows are huge, and they’re pretty easy to blend out. Awesome.

Naked 2 – ah yes, what would a collection be without a Naked palette. I really love this thing. The black is the blackest black I own and I find a lot of the shades to be really usable. Great pigment and easily blend able. Favorite shadows are blackout, half baked, foxy, tease, and yeah basically all of them.

Lorac Pro Palette – um, yeah. One of the best palettes out there, honestly. Extremely pigmented and you can do so many looks using just this palette. The shadows have a lot of kickback (kind of messy) which I would say is the only downfall. This palette is definitely a must-have!

Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar – omg. My favorite palette of all time and one of my favorite makeup purchases of life. Smells like chocolate which exactly what I want everything I own to smell like (the world would be a better place if it did). I am obsessed with the color range, pigmentation, blendability, versatility, smell, and packaging. Can’t say enough great things about this palette!!!

That’s it folks, thanks for reading! I’ve decided to leave out all my little wet and wild palettes and other drugstore palettes because there are just too many but if you would like to see a separate post dedicated to my drugstore eyeshadow palettes I would be happy to oblige πŸ™‚ Leave a comment and I will check out your blog! July Favorites β™‘

Hey guys, welcome back! This has been such an amazing month for me and I just wanted to write up a quick post about all the things I’ve been loving in July! Hopefully you have been having an awesome summer and eventually get the opportunity to try out some of the things I mention below :). I’ve included my favorite beauty products (of course), favorite reads of the month (yes, I still read books from the library), and songs I’ve been jamming out to. Enjoy πŸ™‚

1. Garnier Fructis de-constructed texture tease spray – If you’ve been looking for a hair product that makes your hair smell amazing, your search is finally over. This also adds great volume to your hair and let’s be honest, who doesn’t need more volume?

2. Kiss Lashes #11 – These are in my top 3 favorite lashes of all time and for good reason. Every time I wear these I get compliments on my eyelashes followed by desperate questions asking me where I bought them… The answer is Wal-Mart. They cost me under $10 for a pack of five and they look seriously ah-mazing.

3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Couture Palette – This palette is only $30 at Sephora and has SO many amazing, usable colors. I’m one to usually stick to neutral colors and I’ve been using this palette every single day this month. Plus, the brush that comes with it is actually amazing (even Wayne Goss agrees)!

4. Bobbi Brown blush in Nectar – This blush has been an all-time favorite of mine forever but I’ve just recently rediscovered my love for it. The perfect pink for pretty much anyone.

5. Urban Decay Eyeshadows in Cosmic and Solstice – If you like glitter, take an aspirin before reading any further. These shadows are packed with shimmering glitter flecks that add extra dimension to any eye look. Cosmic is a white glitter eyeshadow that I like to layer over other shadows when I want more sparkle. Solstice has blue glitter reflects but is a light wash of purpley-pink on the lid.

6. MAC Bronzer in Refined Golden – a girl who worked at MAC applied this on me with a very dense blush brush (won’t work very well without a dense brush) and it left me looking like I actually had an amazing glow. Perfect bronzer for summer and part of MAC’s permanent collection (yay for not being limited edition)!

7. Lo’real Tru Match Foundation in W5 – This is Lauren Curtis’ (she’s a famous YouTuber, go follow her) old favorite foundation and I’ve just recently decided to give it a whirl. Clearly you know I love it (since it made my July favorites post), but it really is an amazing price and leaves a beautiful medium coverage that received tons of compliments from my clients at work.

8. Lauren Barnholdt (author) books – if you aren’t a big reader, no big deal, skip this part but if you love a great romance book that is somewhat cliche, any Lauren Barnholdt book will do. I’ve read now four of her books and they’ve all been incredible. Definitely for young adults who crave a classic love story.

9. Song: Pia Mia ft. Chris Brown – Do It Again
That’s it for this months favorites πŸ™‚ hope you enjoyed and don’t forget to follow me for next months favorites plus more beauty posts!

Drugstore and Sephora Haul β™‘

Hi guys, welcome back to my blog! So recently I ran out of literally all of my favorite beauty products which called for an emergency trip to the drugstore/sephora. Life without my St. Tropez self tanner is not only painful but also unimaginable. Boys will never understand. This post dedicated to all my fellow beauty junkies out there who find hauls as oddly satisfying as I do.

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes – these are pretty good and I love the simple packaging. Bad pun.

Simple Miscellar Water – this stuff is bomb. Use it after you take off your makeup to see how much is actually left over. Creepy.

Lame Cotton Rounds (but essential)

St. Tropez Dark Bronzing Mousse – seriously panicked when I ran out of this stuff, like full on anxiety. The emotional attachment is real.

Anastasia Brow Wiz in Taupe – okay another one that I literally panicked when I ran out of it. I have other brow products but this is my number one bae (yeah I just referred to a brow pencil as bae)

Rimmel Lip Liner in East End Snob – honestly this thing reminds me of gossip girl every time I think of it and in turn I feel like Serena Van derWoodsen when I wear it. Yeah, I don’t know either.

Too Faced Perfect Nude Lip Liner – another recommendation from Lauren Curtis that I ended up buying and falling in love with. She just gets me.

Lo’real Tru Match Super-blendable powder in W5 – not much hype over this but I freaking love it so give it a try one day if you’re feeling frisky.

Thanks for reading! Stay tuned for my next beauty post and don’t forget to follow me! πŸ™‚
